Club Historian & Acknowledgement

Derek is a foundation member of the Western Clydesdales and is currently Honorary Historian of the club, responsible for the compilation of the articles on this website.

His long and varied professional and business career included tradesman, teacher, author and publisher. Derek’s Rugby League career spanned a total of twelve years playing through junior and senior grades and representing the Toowoomba Clydesdales.

He also coached at various levels over a period of twenty five years and remains today an avid follower and sometimes critic of Rugby League.
