Weekend wrap-up v Wide Bay

It was a great day on the road as we came away with three wins from three games against Wide Bay at Maryborough.

UNDER 16

Our under 16s posted their first vistory of the Cyril Connell Challenge with a 20-12 win over the Bulls.

The Clydesdales made a great start with Matthew Drews, Hudson Heath and Noah Rogers crossing for first half tries to get out to a 14-0 lead after 25 minutes.

Wide Bay hit back with a try to make it 14-6 at half-time.

The Bulls added another try just after the break to close the gap to 14-12.

A Lucas Paynter try soon after proved to be crucial as it helped the Clydesdales close out a 20-12 win.

UNDER 18

Bailey Nash ran in three tries as our Mal Meninga Cup squad made it back-to-back wins to start the season.

Wide Bay opened the scoring with a try in the second minute before Tobby Evans, Bailey Rathmell and Nash crossed for three tries in six minutes to help establish an 18-16 lead at half-time.

Nash ran in two second half tries to finish with a halt-trick as captain Declan Ryan also scored a try to close out a 34-22 victory.

UNDER 19 WOMEN

Our Harvey Norman Under 19 Women's team remains unbeaten this season after recording a 16-4 win over Wide Bay.

Mackenzie Zeller scored a first half double as Reyna Core and Anna Dingley also ran in four-pointers to get out to a 16-4 lead at the break.

It was a score-less second half as the Clydesdales made it two wins from two games.
