A strong start to the Mal Meninga Cup season unfotrunately did lead to a finals berth for our talented under 18 squad.
We were right in the hunt for a spot in the finals after four rounds having won three of our four matches, including a thrilling win in the last minute over Sunshine Coast in round three.
Two big wins over Wide Bay helped us to a strong points differential after four rounds.
But we couldn't quite keep up the momentum suffering losses in the last two rounds to miss unfortunately miss out on the finals.
There are some quality players across our region though and it will be exciting to see how they perform in the coming years.
