Cyril Connell Challenge 2021 season wrap-up

Published Mon 19 Apr 2021

Our under 16s enjoyed a great Cyril Connell Challenge campaign winning two of their three games and suffering a last-minute loss in the other.

The season started off in wonderful fashion with a 44-0 win over the Wide Bay Bulls, with Brayden Crawford scoring two tries.

The second game resulted in a narrow two-point loss to the Falcons on the Sunshine Coast, with a try in the last minute to the hosts getting them over the line in a heartbreaking result for our boys.

They finished off the season in winning fashion though thanks to a narrow four-point victory.

The under 16s played some great footy under coach Matt Jahnke and captain Bailey Rathmell, so it will be great to see what this squad can do in coming years.
