Clydesdales partner with growing Toowoomba business

The Western Clydesdales are delighted to announce Toowoomba-based NRG Services have joined the club as a major partner ahead of the landmark return to the Hostplus Cup in 2023.

NRG Services is a family owned and operated business that was proudly established in Toowoomba 10 years ago. Over the past decade, NRG has grown to now employ 160 staff with offices in Toowoomba, Brisbane and Roma.

NRG delivers extensive trade services and engineering for their valued clients throughout Australia in the commercial, industrial and energy sectors.

Clydesdales Commercial Manager Fraser Hess said the new Hostplus Cup club was thrilled to partner with another ambitious Toowoomba-based business with interests across the south-west, with the NRG logo to proudly adorn the back of the club’s playing shorts across the grades.

“To have the support of a well-known and respected local company is a massive boost for our club,” Hess said.

“We’re excited to partner with NRG as it will be wonderful working with partners who have built a successful business in a short amount of time. This is essentially what we aspire to do ourselves with the Clydesdales.

“A big part of our vision is thinking outside of football as well and how we can provide opportunities for people in our club. This partnership will go a long way in assisting us to recruit Hostplus Cup players and provide career opportunities as well as football opportunities.”

NRG Services Managing Director Dan Briskey added: “NRG Services are a proud partner and are delighted to support the Clydesdales and the clubs' efforts to develop people in the region. We are looking at opportunities to provide employment and careers in NRG for young players and their family members, making Toowoomba home,” he said.
