Why Request a Player Appearance?

Player appearances are a fantastic way to:

• Promote rugby league within the South-West region.
• Support community projects, events and local schools.
• Assist the club to enhance the visibility of the Western Clydesdales brand, memberships and home games.
• Support and promote our valued partners and sponsors.
• Provide role models to young fans, fostering a connection between grassroots rugby and professional players.

Types of Player Appearances

We offer various types of player appearances to suit different needs:

• Community and School Visits: Our players participate in events like school visits, community festivals, and local club activities to promote healthy living and the sport of rugby league.
• Corporate Events: Engaging with sponsors, partners, and corporate clients is crucial for us. Our players are available for corporate events to represent the club and foster relationships.
• Media Engagements: Media appearances are not counted as contractual hours but provide players with an opportunity to promote themselves, their team and the club.
• Clinics and Training Sessions: Western Clydesdales players often assist in running junior skills clinics and training sessions, helping to develop the next generation of talent.

How to Request a Player Appearance

To request a player appearance, please complete the Player Appearance Request Form available on this page. Our Football Operations Manager will review all requests and coordinate with players to ensure the best fit for your event. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Submit Your Request: Fill out the Player Appearance Request Form with all necessary details about your event, including date, time, location, and the nature of the appearance.
2. Confirmation Process: Once your request is reviewed, you will receive a confirmation from our team, along with details on the player(s) attending and any additional requirements.
3. Prepare for the Appearance: Our Football Operations Manager will coordinate with you to ensure that all necessary equipment and merchandise are prepared for the event.
4. Enjoy the Event: Our players will be ready to engage, inspire, and promote the values of rugby league at your event!

Guidelines for Appearances

• Uniform and Presentation: Players will be dressed in official Western Clydesdales attire suitable for the event type, ensuring a professional and unified appearance.
• Cancellations or Changes: If a player needs to withdraw after confirming their attendance, they will be responsible for arranging a replacement and notifying our team promptly. If you need to cancel, please contact our Football Operations Manager.
• Equipment and Merchandise: The club uses branded equipment and merchandise for appearances to maximize exposure and meet sponsorship obligations. Merchandise items and giveaways are not always available but we will endeavour to meet any requests made when possible.
